KSBI-TV - Temporary Field Audio Broadcast and Sound Reinforcement System

Engineers from KSBI-TV once again turned to COMMUNICORE media systems to design and implement a temporary sound reinforcement and broadcast audio system for a five-day outdoor remote live shoot at the 2014 State Fair of Oklahoma. A digital audio network was used to deliver 16 channels of audio from the stage rack to the front of house mixing location and 48 channels of bi-directional audio to the broadcast audio console. COMMUNICORE media systems provided the entire audio chain, including the front of house console, speakers, monitors, amplifiers and processing, 12 channel wireless mic system, digital audio snake, broadcast audio console and monitors for the broadcast audio mix. COMMUNICORE media systems also provided a sound reinforcement system to the 2014 Fall Premiere Party the day before the State Fair broadcast. Two wireless mics and two main/sub combinations were used to augment the house distributed audio system to provide a "theater-like experience" as requested by KSBI for presenting the fall lineup.
